It is reported that the transit of container trains along the Middle Corridor has increased 20-fold.

Over the first eight months of 2024, 200 container trains transited Kazakhstan from China along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, Kazakhstan Railways reported.

Over the entire 2023, only 11 container trains were sent in this direction. The increase in the volume of container rail transportation along this route was made possible by the Kazakh-Chinese terminal built in early 2024 in the Xi'an Dry Port.
